Most music fans just go to shows and buy t-shirts, but Florida trio peacelovenintendo decided to take it one step further.
It all began when three high school friends started posting homemade music videos on YouTube. And now, approximately one year and 300,000 views later, peacelovenintendo is still going strong.
Guerrilla Radio asked peacelovenintendo masterminds Devon, Jenna and Sabrina to answer ten questions about the DIY music video biz. Here are their responses, in no particular order:
1. In the Q&A vid you talked about how peacelovenintendo got its name, but how did you decide to start making music videos?
Devon: I guess we were just bored and it sounded like something fun and different to do.

Sabrina: We do crazy stuff all the time, so when we taped it and got good feedback we decided to keep making them!
2. You have a lot of views. How has everyone found out about peacelovenintendo?
Devon: Our videos are viral, people tell their friends about us and so on.
Jenna: I think its because “Shake It” became a big song and a lot of people searched for it on YouTube.
Sabrina: We randomly tell people to YouTube us, whether we know them or not.
3. Why do you think people watch your videos?
Devon: Honestly, I think we’re the funniest people I know.
Jenna: We’re just funny kids and we don’t care what people think about us.
Sabrina: People can relate to us, everybody does crazy stuff with their friends. But everyone doesn’t post it on YouTube.
4. Has the positive response encouraged you to make more videos?
Devon: I say yes baby.
Jenna: Chicka chicka yah.
Sabrina: Definitely. It amazes me that people even like watching our videos it blows my mind!
5. How do you decide what songs you’re going to make videos for?
Devon: Whatever makes the toast pop up in our toaster.
Jenna: Whatever I can shake my junk to.
Sabrina: Whatever songs we jiggy down to and makes my toes tap.
6. Are the videos choreographed or do you just freestyle a lot of it?
Devon: Sabrina choreographed the “Chola” video, but other than that we be freestylin’ like Free Willy.
Jenna: Sabrina choreographs on occasion but most of the time we just shake our junk.
Sabrina: I am the choreographer when I wanna add my flava in.
7. Do you think you’ve inspired anyone else to make their own music videos?
Devon: Oh why yes, yes I do believe we are inspirations.
Jenna: Sure.
Sabrina: Most def, because people send us their links.
8. What do you all do when you aren’t making videos?
Devon , Jenna and Sabrina: We all are starting college. We all work at a daycare. And we go to a lot of shows. And we befriend the homeless.
9. Have you ever heard from any of the bands/artists whose songs you’ve made videos for?
Devon: We actually sent 3OH!3 our “Don’t Trust Me” video and they replied saying the video was dope and they were cracking up and that we were badass for making it. And that they showed it to their manager and everyone at Atlantic records!
